We are seeking qualified and experienced personnel in our Toronto office to carry out water‑resources studies for roads, bridges, and the Municipal Engineering group.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis, including flood mapping, water‑balance analysis, hydraulic and hydrologic modelling, and LID Design.
• Develop engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, specifications, bid documents, engineering directives, and other data in accordance with client specifications for municipal road and highway infrastructure projects.
• Perform basic calculations to analyse and design water‑resources system components using company‑standard software and proprietary manufacturer software (e.g., Visual OTTHYMO, PCSWMM, GIS, Culvert Master, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, HY8, AutoCAD, etc.).
• Work with various design‑criteria manuals from cities, the MTO, MOE, and Conservation Authorities.
• Design and prepare profiles, cross‑sections, and storm‑drainage systems.
• Prepare reports, calculations, technical memos, and meeting minutes.
• Develop and oversee the preparation of contract packages including design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support project management, proposal writing, business development, and client‑base support.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Water Resources) from a recognized institution; a graduate degree is an asset.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or a Registered EIT with Professional Engineers Ontario.
• Minimum of 3 years of water‑resources engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of current design software including MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
• Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and project engineering in municipal roads and/or highways, including preliminary and detailed design, specifications, and contract documents.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
• Effective interpersonal skills, strong client‑service focus, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $80,000 - $110,000 annually (Only Applicable to Ontario). Base salaries are determined according to several parameters such as skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
