Job description

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST (SHORT-TERM COVERAGE UNTIL END OF JULY 2025)

In this role, you will identify and recommend areas for improvement, facilitate problem-solving sessions, and design effective business processes. You will coach team members on implementing improvement projects, develop visual management tools, and validate business benefits. Additionally, you will adhere to health and safety policies and work closely with the Operating Excellence Lead to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Employment Status : Independent Contractor

Work Location : Elk Valley, BC

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday with one EDO (Earned Day Off) every other Friday

Qualifications :

  • Educational Background : Undergraduate degree in Finance, Mining, Engineering, or Processing.
  • Professional Registration : Registered, or eligible to register, with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
  • Experience : 5 years of operational experience at a mining operation, or equivalent in a central function, along with project management experience.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in the application of statistical methods and excellent digital literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite® (Excel, Word, Outlook), Microsoft Dynamics AX, and Power BI.
