Electrical Engineer

Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Electrical Engineer to join the Satellite Systems team at a major Canadian Robotics, Satellite Systems and Geointelligence company. The successful candidate will be responsible for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for advanced telecommunication satellites at both payload and spacecraft integration stages. The Spacecraft EGSE Engineer will be responsible for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for advanced telecommunication satellites at both bus and spacecraft integration stages.

Les équipes d’Insight Global recherchent un ingénieur électricien pour rejoindre l’équipe des systèmes satellitaires au sein d’une importante entreprise canadienne spécialisée en robotique, systèmes satellitaires et géointelligence. Le candidat retenu sera responsable des équipements de soutien électrique au sol (EGSE) pour des satellites de télécommunications avancés, tant aux étapes d’intégration de la charge utile que du satellite.

Responsibilities (English)

• Review test plans and test system requirements, assess feasibility and propose efficient implementation
• Equipment selection and technical oversight of key EGSE suppliers
• Integration of EGSE from multiple suppliers into a coherent test set for platform and spacecraft level tests
• Electrical System EGSE implementation, commissioning and maintenance
• Design of Test harnesses, system protections and overall EGSE interconnects
• Production of relevant EGSE documentation
• Operationalize EGSE for high volume production
• Participate in cross-functional teams
• May need to supervise testing activities
