JOB DESCRIPTION – International Logistics Specialist (Project Cargo)
The GTI Group is currently seeking an experienced International Logistics Specialist to join our growing Montreal team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in a similar role - ESSENTIAL .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : (Other duties may be assigned.) .
- Manages all project freight logistics
- Coordinate all aspects of shipment process, including booking, manifest, Bills of Lading and billing.
- Review all shipment documentation to confirm accuracy and perform data input to open file
- Ensure all client special instructions are followed
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain effective relationship with clients and answer general inquiries regarding shipment status
- Tracking status with ocean and air carriers and keeping clients / agents advised of status
- Follow up on client’s reports
- Perform billing function including preparing client invoice and all required support documents
- Maintain customer profiles
- Able to analyze all RFIs and RFQs received in order to best respond and provide best, possible options available.
Education and / or Experience
Minimum Experience Required : THREE (3) years in a related field of international transportation.Skills
Basic computer skillsBasic knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.Decision makingNegotiation skillsDrive for result and willingness to learnAnalytical skillsPlanning and organization skillsMust be proficient in both French and English.
