About the position
Duties
Reporting to the Chief of Building Systems, the incumbent ensures the safe, efficient and proper day-to-day operation of all heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems; high- and low-pressure steam systems; central sanitation and distribution sterilization systems; compressed air systems; and laboratory water systems. The incumbent also performs maintenance and minor repairs on a wide range of refrigeration, HVAC, boiler plant, and laboratory / scientific equipment, including the Trane centrifugal water chillers, steam boilers, refrigerators, freezers (both standard and Ultra-low-temperature types), cold rooms and incubators, ice machines, laboratory water treatment equipment, the hazardous waste incinerators, and biowaste cooking equipment; and performs other duties.
