Senior Companion

Job Summary : The Senior Companion provides clients with various companion services in their residence in accordance with an established plan of care. Essential Functions :

• CompanionProvide companionship (socialize, play games, watch and discuss TV shows etc.)Meal preparationAssist with shopping, driving, running errandsPerform light housekeeping activities
• Medication Services Assist with medications that the client self-administers

Qualifications / Educational Requirements :

• High school graduate or equivalent certificate
• Experience as a Homemaker / Companion (in homes or facilities) is an asset
• Meet passing criteria on DEARS (Drugs and Ethics) test
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
• Initial training will be provided
