Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, of the Transportation and Infrastructure sector, based in Brampton ON office and have the opportunity to work on various MTO projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Prepare preliminary and detailed CAD drawings associated with municipal / MTO transportation projects
- Formulate quantity take-offs for construction cost estimates
- Develop and compile specifications and tender packages
- Conduct field visits during the design development and construction process
- Coordinate project drawings with designers, project managers, CAD staff, and others
- Contribute to proposal development (preparing schedules, conducting project research, preparing cost estimates)
- Ensure that the needs of the project are met in a timely and effective manner
What your experience looks like
- Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably with an Ontario consulting engineering firm
- Experience in preliminary and detailed design drawing preparation associated with Municipal and MTO transportation infrastructure projects
- Computer software skills including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, Excel & MS Project. Experience with Microstation & InRoads would be an asset
- Familiarity with various Municipal & Provincial design and drafting standards
- An ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Organized and motivated team player
