The Position
Reporting to the Purchasing & Inventory Manager, the Purchasing Analyst role is a new position in response to the dynamic growth experienced in the last few years.
This role is part of a team where analytics, insights and attention to details are regarded as essential resources. The Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for interpreting demand forecasts, purchase order and production preparations.
This role will assist with inventory management, turnover improvements and coordinating logistics. The successful candidate will be a part of a well-established Team where they will learn a great deal in the field as well as can contribute to process improvements and greater inventory turns.
Responsibilities
Purchase Orders : Initiate Purchase Orders on a regular basis.
Production : Plan and purchase materials for production
Custom / Logistics : Coordinate with Partners to manage shipments and custom clearance, ensuring all documentation and record entries are accurately maintained.
R eporting : Generate standardized reports to assist the sales team in identifying opportunities to improve inventory turns, while also creating additional reports to support the Purchasing team.
Communication : Meeting with sales and marketing teams to share insights and maintain communication with vendors.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a field such as business, supply chain or related field
- Minimum 2yrs of experience in a similar role
- Sage or D365 experience considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Experience with data analysis and purchasing.
Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Well-organized and detail-oriented, problem-solving, and analytical skills
