We are currently seeking experienced pilots to join our team for the upcoming season and beyond.
What You Can Expect :
As a pilot at Conair, you will be part of a dynamic team, using your skills to protect communities from wildfires. We offer a supportive environment focused on safety, teamwork, and personal growth.
Location - Abbotsford, BC, Canada is our home base.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate Conair aircraft in firefighting missions both domestically and internationally.
- Ensure safe, precise, and efficient flying in challenging conditions, including mountainous terrain.
- Participate in regular training and adhere to all safety and operational protocols.
Qualifications :
Successful candidates will meet the following criteria :
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or have the legal right to work in Canada.
- Ability to obtain necessary work visas for international firefighting assignments.
- Possess a valid Canadian Driver’s License and Passport.
- Commit to residing in Canada during the fire season.
- Hold a valid Canadian ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
- Able to obtain a Canadian Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 2, hours total flight time.
- Minimum of 1, hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience.
- At least hours of flying in mountainous terrain.
- Recent flying experience within the last 12 months.
Additional Qualifications for Specific Aircraft :
For seaplane or tailwheel aircraft positions :
- hours PIC on seaplane in a commercial operation, or
- hours on certified tailwheel aircraft.
Please note, a lack of seaplane or tailwheel experience will not preclude other applicants from consideration.
