  • Full-time, 24 month contract

Raise has partnered with  Enbridge / Dominion Energy  to support them in their hiring a team to support the integration of their Customer Care processes due to the recent utilities acquisitions that have been made within the United States (Ohio and Utah).

The Testing Specialist will play a crucial role in the Customer Care US Utility Integration Project by planning, executing, and reporting on all testing activities. This position requires close collaboration with the Project Manager, Development Team, and various stakeholders to ensure the quality and reliability of project deliverables. The role demands strong partnership, negotiation, and collaboration skills to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders, including IT, Enbridge business units, and external Alliance partners. This role will bring together the business and IT components of the testing cycles for a major system and process alignment projects.

Specific Accountabilities :

  • Define the testing strategy and scope for the project
  • Design, develop, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data
  • Coordinate and supervise the testing activities of the testing team
  • Perform functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
  • Identify, analyze, and report on defects, issues, and risks
  • Track and monitor the testing progress and status
  • Communicate the testing results and feedback to the project manager and the stakeholders
  • Ensure the compliance of the testing processes and standards
  • Provide guidance and support to the testing team
  • Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements
  • Defines security profiles, segregation of duties and other user account testing requirements for various systems to execute test cases
  • Coordinate regular reviews with internal audit teams
  • Work closely with the IT testing team and functional track to coordinate testing across FUT, SIT and UAT cycles
  • Prepares test plans, including resource requirements, scheduling, scope of testing and test case identification
  • Provides quality assurance review for test scripts and scenarios written as well as coaching to improve the quality of test scripts that require a rewrite
  • Coordinates regression testing requirements with the IT and business teams
  • Must establish and track a clear correlation between business requirements, test scenarios and test scripts
  • Will monitor test execution and provide status updates to various stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Coordinate test data requirements and creation with IT, functional track and BSS teams
  • Reviews defects and recommends priorities based on functional impact
  • Plans and manages validation testing to ensure changes are successfully implemented into production
  • Provide input to mitigation plans for any defects carried over into production
  • Coordinates and provides support to business testers
  • Scope of Work :

  • Operate in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders spanning across many project tracks
  • Ensure testing deliverables are completed within established timelines
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Related university degree and minimum 4 years previous experience OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing, including 2 years of experience in leading testing teams
  • Understanding of Distribution Operations and the needs of the business
  • Experience in testing web-based and mobile applications
  • Experience in testing using various methodologies
  • Certification in testing or quality assurance is a plus
  • Knowledge of IT systems and solutions
  • Proficient in testing tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and quality assurance processes
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and deliver results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including building consensus, negotiation, and facilitation
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively

  • Position works in typical office environment.
  • Requires minimal travel to other Enbridge offices across Canada and the USA.
