Raise has partnered with Enbridge to support them in their hiring a team to support the integration of their Customer Care processes due to the recent utilities acquisitions that have been made within the United States (Ohio and Utah).

As a Business Architect , you will play a pivotal role in strategically guiding the design and realization of business and operating models.

You will identify and guide the necessary people, processes, and technology requirements to operationalize these models.

Your expertise will support organizational change and investments, helping the company respond to disruptive forces and achieve targeted business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include creating business architecture deliverables that clarify strategic intentions, identify business outcomes, and explore implications, impacts, and risks.

You will assist strategy and business leaders in understanding, applying, monetizing, and operationalizing existing, new, and emerging technologies to transform and optimize business and operating models.

Additionally, you will support the evolution of the Enterprise Architecture team's services and help define the strategy for the EA discipline, ensuring alignment between business and IT.

Specific Accountabilities :

  • Strategic Alignment : Collaborate with executive and senior leadership to understand and align business strategies with clear, executable operational plans.
  • Process Modeling : Develop and maintain business process models, illustrating how changes in different areas of the organization affect others.
  • Capability Analysis : Define, analyze, and maintain a clear view of the organization's capabilities, ensuring alignment with its vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner with various departments and teams, ensuring their requirements are translated into architectural deliverables.
  • Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to optimize and streamline business processes, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Solution Design : Work with IT and other departments to ensure that technical solutions meet business needs and align with the architectural vision.
  • Change Management : Assist in developing change management strategies, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption during organizational changes.
  • Governance : Play an active role in governance boards, ensuring that business and IT projects align with the overarching strategic objectives.
  • Training and Mentoring : Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing training and mentoring to team members and stakeholders.

Scope of Work :

  • Business Architect for 2 year multi million dollar integration project
  • Business Architect for cross-program and cross-project Business Architecture strategies and problem resolution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Seven (7+) or more years’ experience as a Business Architect or in a similar role in large, complex enterprise
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and written / oral communication skills
  • The ability to interact with staff at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers and various software, specifically Microsoft Office
  • In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its impact on business processes
  • Familiarity with architecture framework(s), business modeling tools and methodologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented
  • Collaborative team player with strong leadership abilities
  • Adaptable to change and comfortable working in ambiguous scenarios.
  • Ability to travel 25%, passport required
  • Knowledge of current Customer Care processes and systems will be considered an asset

Working Conditions

  • Position works in typical office environment.
  • Some project implementations occur overnight or on weekends and may need to be available to support and manage project go-live.
  • Requires some travel to other Enbridge offices across Canada and the USA.
