In this role, you will:
• You are exceptional in managing Discovery & Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow®.
• You are interested in maintaining information about IT hardware & software assets, in order to report on the value and ownership of financial assets throughout their lifecycle, and to determine key attributes and relationships between assets.
• You are eager to assist in conducting configuration audits and coordinate with Technical Service Owners to correct issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• You are adept in working with Technical Service Owners and Subject Matter Experts to build relationships between assets and ensure the accuracy of the Configuration Items (CIs) within the CMDB.
• You thrive on assisting the Configuration Management team to prepare the Configuration management plan.
• You embrace the opportunity to collaborate with IT Owners and Change Management in the assessment of what CIs are impacted by a Change to a service.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• You have good communication (verbal/written) and good interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
• You have at least 5+ years of hands-on working experience in data reporting with ServiceNow® CMDB, Asset Management & Service Catalogue.
• You also have at least 5+ years of hands-on working experience in data reporting with ServiceNow® Incident/Problem/Change Management modules.
• You have at least 5+ years of working experience in performing audits of hardware, configuration items, as needed to maintain accuracy within the CMDB.
• You can also demonstrate working experience in monitoring and managing expectations to CMDB policies.
• You possess strong problem solving, analytical and excellent attention to detail skills.
• You have a strong understanding of networking and infrastructure, which includes servers, networking, databases, and cloud services.
• You can demonstrate expert level in the use of MS Excel to create/maintain macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP & formulas.
• An asset to have hands on technical working experience with SQL, Python, Power BI.
• Post secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related field.
