They are currently seeking a strong candidate to fill a full-time position as a QUALITY ENGINEER.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Quality, and working with cross functional teams, the Quality Engineer will have the opportunity to contribute to improvements based on market growth and customer requirements in a dynamic environment.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead inspection of incoming products from manufacturers.
- Inspect manufactured products, purchased samples, materials and parts, control samples, processes, or test data for conformity to, specifications, and standards using inspection instruments including optical inspection equipment.
- Contribute to and manage product defect catalogues
- Perform qualification and characterization activities of raw materials, specifically polymers
- Supports NPI team in cutting and preparation of samples for Characterization.
- Document inspection activities on appropriate inspection records and maintain inspection records in an organized manner.
- Document product discrepancies and advise stakeholders as per company procedures.
- Reads, interprets, and utilizes Quality policies, procedures and other documentation.
- Support continuous improvement activities for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Other tasks assigned by Quality Director
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality EngineerDegree from a recognized institute in ChemistryKnowledge and experience performing visual inspection using optical inspection equipmentPreferred knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and capable of performing gage studiesPreferred basic AIAG and related quality system knowledge of ISO 9001, 2015 / IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 strongly desiredThe position pays an annual base salary of $70k to $80k ++ (negotiable based on experience).
