Workday Configuration Consultant
This opportunity is for our client in the insurance industry, within a team that reimagines the employee experience through smart, user-centered HR technology. Working alongside stakeholders across HR, technology, compliance, and finance, you will lead initiatives that shape critical touchpoints in the employee lifecycle, leveraging innovation to drive meaningful outcomes at a global scale.
What is in it for you :
- Salaried : $48 to $52 per hour.
- Incorporated Business Rate : $58 to $62 per hour.
- 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
- Full-time position : 37.50 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday, 9 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM (option to start at 8 : 00 AM or 10 : 00 AM)
- Hybrid work : 3 office days, from Tuesday to Thursday.

Responsibilities :
Serve as a solution domain expert throughout discovery, design, configuration, testing, and post-implementation stages of Workday enhancements.Provide technical support and maintain custom reports and dashboards in Workday, JIRA, and other HR tools.Lead configuration, testing, and implementation of system upgrades while maintaining compliance with internal procedures.Create and maintain detailed system configurations and standard operating procedures.Manage multiple concurrent projects across functional areas with attention to user impact and project timelines.Partner with stakeholders on recurring HR activities (e.g., performance and compensation cycles), offering solutions and process improvements.Assist with impact assessments, regression testing, and communication planning.Stay informed on Workday advancements and industry trends to guide enhancements and innovation.What you will need to succeed :
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience).Workday Pro Certification(s) considered an asset.5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.Functional HR experience across talent management, talent acquisition, compensation, and time & absence.Experience supporting global HR operations in a large enterprise environment.Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize effectively.Experience handling sensitive, confidential data in alignment with privacy and compliance standards.Experience with ADP Global View (PECI, PICOF, EXPR) considered an asset.Familiarity with JIRA Case Management or similar systems is an asset.Agile project environment experience is an asset.Advanced knowledge of Workday modules such as recruiting time off, and time tracking preferred.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and use data to support business decisions.Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to mentor peers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.High standards of ethics, professionalism, and attention to data compliance.Why Recruit Action?
