QUALIFICATIONS :
Education, Training And Experience
Bachelor's degree in a relevant health science discipline such as Med Lab Sciences, Medical / Clinical Microbiology, Epidemiology, Pathology, or related field.
Three years' recent related acute care clinical experience which includes one (1) year of demonstrated recent experience working directly with infection control processes, policies, activities, including the facilitation of work teams, projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of the interrelationships between Acute, Long-Term Care, Community Health and Public Health Resources in the health delivery system.
Strong working knowledge of program development and implementation and performance measures.
Certificate of successful completion from an IPAC Canada-endorsed infection control course or evidence of Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
Valid Class 5 vehicle license.
