Job description

Smardt Chiller Group is hiring Mechanical Assemblers for its Dorval, Quebec location.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards.
  • May be required to repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
  • Keep daily assembly production records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Learn brazing techniques required to weld the joints of copper mechanical parts.

    • Requirements & Qualifications

  • Work at heights.
  • Walk extensively in an industrial setting.
  • Lift 50 lbs (23 kg).
  • Work and stand for prolonged periods.
  • Work the available shifts and overtime hours as needed.
  • Wear required PPE without restriction (safety glasses, steel‑toe boots, etc.).
  • Attend and pass all job‑required tests and job‑specific training.
  • Clear criminal background check and preemployment reference checks.
  • Good command of English; ability to communicate in French with our team in Quebec (or be in process of learning French).
