Maintenance Technician

Report to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all production machinery and facility equipment. This includes installing new machines, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics
• Install, service, and maintain production equipment, including motors, conveyor systems, and mechanical components
• Diagnose mechanical issues through detailed observation and communication with production staff
• Inspect machinery to evaluate performance, identify faults, and recommend improvements
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Fabricate parts and support machine upgrades as needed
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Maintain clear communication with the production team and ensure a clean, organized work area
• Manage inventory of maintenance materials and coordinate with vendors for replacements
• Attend daily meetings and participate in required training
• Support onboarding and training of new hires
• Prepare and submit maintenance logs and reports
• Minimize equipment downtime through planning, communication, and effective maintenance strategies
