We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.

Reporting to the Manager, Finance , you will be responsible for reviewing indirect tax returns, the review and documentation of indirect tax positions / assessments, and the research of indirect tax compliance in multi-provincial jurisdictions.

Working closely with the business, this role will provide support in formulating recommendations regarding indirect sales tax matters, tax compliance issues in multi-provincial jurisdictions.

This role will assist with developing and maintaining an efficient and effective system of tax management tools and processes

You will be responsible for :

Performing research of day-to-day indirect tax compliance issues in multi-provincial jurisdictions.

Reviewing indirect tax returns and associated account reconciliations.

Reviewing and documenting internal indirect tax positions and assessments.

Providing support to the business regarding indirect sales tax matters.

Providing support for refund applications.

Reviewing internal contracts for tax implications.

Responding to ad-hoc tax related queries from internal and external customers.

Providing support with tax authority audits.

Providing support with tax risk management projects and initiatives, including the review and implementation of changes to business systems, processes, and significant transactions to improve tax compliance and minimize tax risk.

Working with the business to develop and maintain an efficient and effective system of tax management tools and processes.

You have :

At least 5 years of experience in an analyst role with indirect tax experience.

A professional accounting designation or equivalent industry experience.

Advanced knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft desktop applications, including advanced Excel skills and ability to navigate general ledger systems.

Completion of the CPA GST / HST In-Depth Program would be an asset.

Experience with cross-border transactions and US tax knowledge would be an asset.

Compensation Details :

$91,200.00 - $114,000.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
