Job Title : Cabling Operator

Job Description

Able and willing to be trained on and operate all cabling departments and equipment. Ability to run and consistently meet or exceed standard on all cabling equipment.

At the end of the training will be expected to run 1 machine during the shift (as required by the supervisor). Knowledge of solid and stranded, bare or tinned copper wire sizes and specifications.

Able to identify quality problems with component(s) or finished products and take the appropriate measures, whether notifying the production supervisor or making remedial adjustments to the equipment.

Perform all quality checks as required and accurately document the results. Able to complete all paperwork reporting of material and labour as required.

Keep work area clean and organized including tooling and equipment, maintain using 5S standards principles.

Hard Skills

• 2+ years' Manufacturing Experience
• English comprehension / reading / writing
• Good Manual Dexterity
• Mechanically Inclined
• Lift 50lbs
• Basic Math
• Knowledge of solid and stranded, bare and tinned copper wire sizes and specifications

Work Environment

The shift will be 6am-2pm, Monday to Friday. Training will take place on the day shift. Candidate must be flexible to move to afternoon / night (with notice) to cover for absences;

also open to work continental in the future (nights). $23.81 / hr plus $0.70 / premium.

Well lit and very large clean manufacturing environment. Comfortable room temperature. Can be loud around the machines. No dust.
