Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) — Indigenous Community Health

Location : Malahat First Nation Health Centre (Mill Bay, BC)

Position Type : Full-Time / Part-Time

Start Date : As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally safe nursing care within a community health setting
• Conduct health assessments, triage, and clinical interventions
• Support chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, respiratory conditions, etc.)
• Deliver immunizations, wound care, foot care coordination, and preventive services
• Participate in health promotion and education sessions (workshops, lunch-and-learns, community events)
• Collaborate with Indigenous health workers, community health representatives (CHRs), and interdisciplinary partners
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records
• Support trauma-informed and strengths-based care approaches
• Participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives
• Uphold professional standards, ethical practice, and community confidentiality
