BURNER MECHANIC

Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Burner Mechanic. The Burner Mechanic will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for maintenance and installations within Rainbow District School Board. Regular travel to sites in the Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island area will be required.

The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 Diploma an oil Burner Technician certificate and a propane license would be an asset. A minimum of 5 years experience as a certified technician in commercial and institutional work is preferred. The individual will require a thorough knowledge of all applicable codes and have the ability to troubleshoot and repair heating, combustion, distribution and control systems. Preference will be given to individuals with additional experience in building control systems, pneumatics and air conditional.

The position requires an individual who can work independently and has good written and oral communication skills. As this position requires travel between sites a valid driver’s license in mandatory.

Daily hours of work 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday. The hourly rate is $36.58 plus certificate allowance of .76/hr. This is an existing vacancy.
