Hays is proud to partner once again with a key player in the Montreal real estate field. Known for its impressive growth and excellent portfolio in retail, office, and industrial spaces, this landlord is now seeking a Vice-President in Capital Projects Expenditure.
Your new role
As the VP, Capital Projects Expenditure, your responsibilities will include :
Team Management
- Directly manage 4 directors, with a total of 60+ direct and indirect reports.
- Manage performance and implement process-improvement strategies when needed.
Operations & Capital Projects
- Supervise all staff in the Montreal office in order to lead them to the best performance and efficiency;
- Deploy the continuous improvement policy;
- Control opex and capex budgets;
- Develop a capex plan with a horizon of 5 to 10 years;
- Provide support to teams when there are critical situations (tenants, service providers, suppliers);
- Ensure the quality of service for tenants;
- Monitor and collaborate with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program; Rental level
- Plan energy saving programs, target buildings that can help improve performance and spending costs in support of thepany's ESG policies and its intentions to decarbonize all of these buildings.
Leasing
- Take part in negotiations with new tenants or the renewal of leases of existing tenants;
- Be the link with clients to define the conditions of the lease and acceptance of agreements and annexes.
Project Management
- Review and approve plans and budgets;
- Bring technical expertise toplex projects;
- Provide assistance in decision-making on all projects;
- Ensure that health and safety management standards are respected on construction sites.
What you'll need to succeed
Over 10 years of experience inmercial or industrial real estate capital projects.
Over 5 years in a senior direction role.
Excellent financial literacy and experience preparing CapEx and OpEx reports and budgets.
In-depth understanding of building mechanics and facilities.
Proficiency in French & English (written / oral).
Asset : certification in CFM, FMP, or RPA
What you'll get in return
