Position Summary : Thiscourse will examine several types of history-based games and historical forms of playexploring how history simulations can be used bystudents and the public for educationalleisure and entertainment purposes. These simulations will be assessed on the degree to whichthe represent and perhaps also misrepresent the past. Each game or form of play will be paired with readings to provide historical context to encourage in-class discussion and to provide a theoretical basis for assignments.

This appointment is in accordance with the Contract Teaching Faculty and Part-time Librarians Collective Agreement for which the Wilfrid Laurier Faculty Association (WLUFA) is the exclusive bargaining agent.
