Industrial Machinery Mechanic

Guelph, Ontario

Multiple Openings $41.60 / hr + $3,000 Sign-On Bonus + Full Benefits Job Responsibilities

  • Conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting industrial machinery in a safe manner while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Performing routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations regarding performance and safety.
  • Repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as obtaining permits, ordering parts, and completing work orders.

Qualifications :

  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada for the company.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License) is required.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks including bending, lifting objects weighing at least 50lbs, climbing ladders, and operating valves.
  • Proficient in English communication (verbal and written).
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including holidays, nights, weekends, and different shifts with advanced notice.
  • Preferred :

  • Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions, such as exposure to heat, cold, dust, and loud noise. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing or packaging industry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CFIA requirements for food manufacturing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in production-related work.
  • Comfortable working at elevated heights (4 feet and above).
  • Skilled in operating machinery and industrial equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ideal Candidate

  • Must possess an Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Industrial Millwright Certificate (mandatory).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as an Industrial Millwright.
  • Authorized to work legally in Canada.
  • Able to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting objects weighing at least 50lbs, climbing ladders, and operating valves.
  • Proficient in English communication (verbal and written).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexible availability for overtime, including holidays, nights, weekends, and different shifts with advanced notice.
