We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for payroll inquiries, providing support to our homes and ensuring accuracy in payroll processing. Your expertise in auditing, timesheet management, and bank-related processes will be essential to maintaining our payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from Office Managers, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Manage Payroll Inquiry Tickets, providing timely support to Homes for various payroll-related issues. Including the gathering of information during the discovery process and compiling data before passing it on to the relevant team member.
- Conduct thorough audits of new hire setups to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Perform daily audits of timesheets to identify discrepancies and ensure timely processing of payroll.
- Review and confirm requests for off-cycle payroll entries and quick entries from various sites, ensuring all requests are justified and processed accurately.
- Cross train with team members to support various payroll functions and ensure seamless operations.
- Handle bank-related items, including processing rejections and stop payment requests efficiently.
- Flexibility to step in during vacations and sick leaves.
- Capacity to perform effectively under pressure.
- Ad hoc tasks and reporting, as required.
Qualifications :
2-3 years of full cycle payroll experience required.Completion of PCP Designation (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or enrollment in program is considered an asset.Ceridian Dayforce Knowledge or Implementation experience an asset.Current knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.Experience with Ceridian Dayforce Managed Payroll or any managed payroll experience is considered an asset.Proficient in payroll software (e.g. Dayforce, Kronos, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.An analytical mind and good math skills.Outstanding communication skills (written and oral), able to interact tactfully and professionally with a wide range on internal and external stakeholders, including Mangers.BSc / BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field; professional certification (e.g. CPP, CPM, PCP) is a plus.Flexibility to work at peak times if demands are present e.g. Year EndStrong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.Familiar is CBA (collective bargaining agreements) is considered an asset.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.What We Offer :
