Network Security Specialist – Global FinTech Trading firm

Montreal | Hybrid | $180,000

Join a high-performance FinTech trading firm and help safeguard a worldwide network that spans regional data centres, offices, co-locations and public cloud. You’ll design, build and run cutting-edge security controls while leading key infrastructure projects end-to-end.

What you’ll do

• Design & deploy enterprise-grade network security solutions that meet strict internal standards.
• Own projects from scoping to go-live, working with engineers, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Operate & improve global firewalls, NAC, micro-segmentation and cloud security services.
• Provide L3 support, quickly resolving performance or security incidents.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Python to boost speed, consistency and visibility.
• Document & share best-practice runbooks and SOPs.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years in network engineering / security with proven project delivery.
• Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or similar.
• Deep hands-on skills with Fortinet and/or Palo Alto firewalls; Cisco ISE experience preferred.
• Solid routing & switching (OSPF, BGP, IPSEC, QoS, VRRP, etc.).
• Strong Python scripting; exposure to AWS, Azure or GCP is a bonus.
• Excellent communicator who thrives under pressure and sweats the details.
