Job description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Designer to join our team. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for majorly designing, programming, and collaborating with customers and the shop floor to ensure efficient production.

Job Type : Full-time Permanent

Schedule : Monday to Friday

Work Location : On-site (no remote work opportunity)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and development using SolidWorks - automotive parts
  • CNC programming for 2D and 3D laser equipment
  • Prototype development and refinement
  • Customer interaction and communication
  • Bill of materials and drawing maintenance
  • Process optimization and continuous improvement
  • Collaboration with the shop prototype department and other team members
  • Qualifications

    Candidate Profile :

  • Education : Technologist or Engineering degree (Mechanical) or relevant College Diploma
  • Experience : Minimum 3 years in a similar industry and 3 years in a production fabrication environment
  • Software proficiency : SolidWorks and Microsoft Office 365; experience with 2D / 3D laser programming software is an asset
  • Industry knowledge : Familiarity with automotive industry standards and steel packaging or dunnage design is an advantage
  • Skills : Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
