Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in performing high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols and physician requests.
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Review images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists to confirm diagnostic findings.
- Adhere to MRI safety guidelines, including screening patients for contraindications to magnetic fields or contrast agents.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Stay informed about advancements in MRI technology and imaging techniques.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Medical Radiation Technology or equivalent.Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) .Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) or equivalent.Proficiency with MRI equipment from manufacturers such as Siemens, GE, or Philips.Experience in MRI imaging is an asset, with a preference for 1–2 years of related experience.Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of MRI imaging techniques and protocols.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to provide patient-centered care.Strong organizational and analytical abilities to assess image quality.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.Work Environment
Based in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center.May require shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical demands include standing for extended periods and assisting patients with mobility.What We Offer
