Our client is a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking an ICT Senior Engineer for its Toronto office. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-profile commercial, institutional, and mixed-use building projects, overseeing the design and implementation of structured cabling, telecommunications, audiovisual, and security systems. The ideal candidate will be a technically proficient professional with strong project management skills and a commitment to innovation.
About the Role
The ICT Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing ICT projects from concept through completion, ensuring technical excellence, budget adherence, and client satisfaction. This includes leading teams, collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals, and providing strategic guidance on technology integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and implementation of structured cabling, networking, telecommunications, audiovisual, and security systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use buildings.
- Lead project teams, ensuring timely delivery, technical accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations throughout project lifecycles.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Architectural teams to integrate ICT systems into building designs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ICT Designers and junior team members.
- Conduct site assessments, inspections, and progress reviews, ensuring quality control.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business development and proposal preparation.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.Minimum 7+ years of experience in ICT design and project management for buildings.RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) designation is a strong asset.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an advantage.Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and ICT design software.Strong understanding of industry standards, including BICSI, TIA / EIA, and CSA .Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Why Join Our Client?
