Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic, driven, and experienced Facility Shift Manager who can translate our vision into reality. The role blends technology, regulation, and interpersonal collaboration to ensure seamless 24 / 7 operations of our data centre. The successful candidate will grow into an engaging, motivating leader and create conditions that enable people to deliver and realise their potential.
Main Responsibilities
- Work a shift pattern based 24 / 7 schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
- Escalate and communicate incidents to nominated persons following established procedures.
- Assist service providers and contractors in root‑cause analysis of incidents.
- Support planning of projects and planned maintenance related to the shift workload.
- Plan and oversee shift‑work flows, PPM, incident reporting, and incident management activities.
- Proactively achieve performance objectives for client service delivery.
- Report on health and safety aspects specific to shift duties.
- Record all maintenance tasks, including repairs and preventive schedules, and produce reports at shift end.
- Support the Critical Service Manager by providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Participate in technical improvements and discussions on all delivery aspects on site.
- Maintain a strong safety mindset, paying particular attention to HSE, PTW, isolation systems, and RAMS.
- Conduct audits on ISO 9000, 14000, 27000, and 55000 systems.
- Ensure shift engineers carry out tasks as directed, with appropriate health & safety awareness.
- Complete all required training.
Qualifications and Experience
Multi‑skilled in Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls.Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of high and medium voltage switchgear, UPS, PDUs, CRACs, cooling towers, chillers, generators, ATSS, fire systems, etc.Experience with Building Automation / Monitoring Systems, graphical interfaces, and basic PID loop understanding.Ability to read and interpret one‑line diagrams.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Cohesive team player committed to processes required in a critical environment.Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.EEO Statement
