Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CCB) Solution Architect

Our Toronto based client is seeking an Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CCB) Solution Architect contractor to join their project immediately and will run for 9-12 months with possibility for extension. This will be a hybrid work setting with some on-site work required at the  client offices with some travel to USA locations needed.

• The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle CCB, solution design, and integrating systems across SCM, Finance, GIS, and other business streams.
• This role requires a strategic advisor who can ensure system integrator proposals meet customer needs and provide accurate project scope estimates.
• Proven ability to advise customers on best practices for Oracle CCB and evaluate if the system integrator’s proposed solutions align with customer needs.
• Strong preference for candidates with extensive utility sector experience.
• Demonstrated experience in designing solutions and integrating Oracle CCB with SCM, Finance, GIS, and other business streams.
• Oracle Solution Architect will focus on confirming that functional requirements are met as close to standard as possible.
• Participate in functional workshops and assist in identifying alternative ways of addressing requirements, including utilizing configurations in lieu of extensions or customizations.
• Assist in the establishment of design principles with implementation team, observing best practice design standards.
• Assist in identifying approaches to configuration migration
• Solution must align to strategy, processes, and roadmap
• Review functional architecture for consistency with Oracle’s intended use of the application
• Document solution including applications landscape for gate review and approval in accordance to clients PMO practice.
• Create a functional architecture review summary report reflecting findings and recommendations
• Provide estimate on efforts, costs, and duration with impact analysis
