As a Commercial Account Manager , you will play an integral role in the success of the brokerage. From handling daily requests to policy renewals, you’ll focus on building and nurturing relationships with both clients and underwriters.
Responsibilities
- Manage a commercial book of business, overseeing policies from inception to renewal while cultivating strong client and underwriter relationships.
- Ensure the accuracy of policy documents before delivering them to clients, and manage account documentation, including inquiries, quotes, binders, and statements of values. Review exposures and loss experience to ensure clients have adequate coverage. Negotiate renewals and, when necessary, remarket policies.
- Handle inbound calls, client requests, and policy changes, and manage additional paperwork, such as vehicle pink slips and invoicing.
- Contribute to cross-sell and upselling campaigns as well as other business initiatives.
- Participate in stewardship reviews with the team and / or clients for the existing book of business. Prepare and present proposals for prospective clients and collaborate with Account Executives to address potential issues.
- Take part in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, staff, and insurance partners.
- Provide backup support to other Account Managers as needed.
- Achieve performance metrics as outlined by the Client Services Manager.
Qualifications
An active and in-good-standing RIBO license is required.Minimum 2 years of commercial insurance experience.Currently working towards any one of the following designations (CIP, CAIB, or CRM) is an asset.Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills.High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.A self-starter eager to grow with the organization.High-level proficiency with computer systems and programs.College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.At Leap we are an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
