Job Summary
The Mental Health Worker provides services to transitional-aged outpatients (18 to 25 years) as part of the inter-professional team. The Mental Health Worker has the clinical skills and experience to assess, plan, coordinate and provide treatment and support services to Clinic clients. They function as an inter-professional team member, providing a range of clinical services, including assessment, group, individual, couple and / or family therapy where indicated, as well as community liaison and collateral work regarding clients. They role model professional and organizational core competencies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Experience in Family Based Treatment for Eating Disorders and CBT-E are an asset
- Experience relevant to working with Eating disorder patients and their families preferred
- Experience relevant to working in an Outpatient Child and Family Mental Health Program, family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy and case management
- Demonstration of acceptable knowledge of psychological / social work principles, methods and techniques, and ability to apply them in an outpatient mental health setting
- Ability to work flexibly in a multi-disciplinary team is a requirement of the position
- Psychological assessment knowledge and skills are preferred
- Demonstration of initiative and sound clinical judgment

Qualifications
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work or other Master’s level degree / equivalent from an accredited university, with child and adolescent mental health training and expertise.Registration in good standing with the appropriate College or professional association, to comply with licensing according to hospital professional practice requirements.
