Body Technician & Painter

We are currently looking for a full-time permanent Body Technician & Painter for our Winnipeg Fleet Repair and Maintenance Facility. Our fully equipped facility is clean and modern, with a workplace environment that instills safety while doing your best work.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Operational demands may require weekend and/or after shift overtime.

Duties will include:

• Sandblasting and painting of trailing equipment, trucks and various other industrial products
• Body work on trucks from collision damage
• Body work on van body/intermodal containers
• Minor welding on trailers/containers
• Maintain a clean work area
• Perform other duties as may be assigned

Position Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• 2-3 years of sandblasting & painting experience
• Welding experience would be an asset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Good attendance record
• Hand tools and willingness to purchase required tools
• Strong approach to Safety
• The successful candidate will require reliable transportation as our facility is located outside of public transport
• *Pre-employment and post-incident controlled substance & alcohol testing is mandatory for this position as it is deemed safety sensitive.
