Citylogix is a leading provider of data and analytics for smart city transportation infrastructure, leveraging LiDAR, 360° imaging, and AI-powered analytics to create detailed digital maps, and provide predictive analytics for proactive asset management.
Citylogix is seeking a Director of Operations to lead, scale, and optimize day-to-day operational execution across teams, projects, and geographies. This role translates strategic objectives into operational execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at the highest quality standards. The Director of Operations will play a critical role in supporting Citylogix data‑driven solutions for infrastructure and smart city clients. This role will be responsible for an overall team of over 30 employees across Canada, USA and Egypt via four (4) direct reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership & Execution
- Lead and manage teams in Canada, USA and Egypt
- General day-to-day management of global operation’s teams, including
- Field Operations,
- Data Processing and Quality Assurance,
- AI labelling operations (in coordination with R&D)
- Geospatial (GIS) services
- Ensure delivery timelines, quality standards, and client commitments are met
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across regions
- Lead, coach, and motivate Team Leaders fostering accountability, ownership, and high performance
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects of varying size, scope, and duration
- Provide guidance, escalation support, and decision‑making when required
- Embed a self‑starter, ownership‑driven mindset as a standard operating procedure (SOP)
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and results‑driven work environment
Operational Strategy & Process Improvement
Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, scalability, and business growthLead continuous process improvement initiatives across data capture, QA / QC, and delivery workflowsCollaborate closely with R&D and Product teams to provide operational feedback aimed at improving platforms, tooling, SDKs, and workflowsImplement quality assurance and quality control measures to maintain high standards of data accuracy and system reliabilityEnsure compliance with internal standards, client SLAs, and applicable regulatory or contractual requirementsTeam Planning, Staffing & Enablement
Forecast and establish ongoing staffing requirements based on project pipeline and capacity planningBuild, implement, and continuously improve recruiting, training, and onboarding programs for technical and operational teamsEnable visibility into workload, capacity, utilization, and bandwidth across all teamsAllocate resources effectively across personnel, equipment, and technologyMaintain strong communication channels across Team Leaders and departmentsPerformance Management & Reporting
Establish, monitor, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery timelines, utilization, quality, and cost efficiencyProvide regular operational reporting including execution timelines, project‑level cashflow, capacity metrics, and KPI dashboardsApprove monthly KPI’s for team via Team LeadsIdentify risks and operational bottlenecks and drive corrective actionsCross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Customer Success Manager (CSM) and Director of Sales to gain visibility into upcoming projects, align delivery teams, and provide progress reportingWork closely with R&D team to support continuous improvement of systems and data pipelinesCollaborate with other Team Leaders to ensure smooth project execution and cross‑team alignmentSpecial Projects
Lead or support special operational initiatives, including scaling programs, new service launches, tooling changes, and operational restructuringsTake ownership of ad‑hoc operational challenges and drive solutions proactivelyREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
8+ years of progressive experience in Operations, Delivery, Program Management, or similar roles within technology, data, engineering, or infrastructure‑focused organizationsProven experience leading managers, team leaders, or multidisciplinary operational teamsStrong background in process optimization, KPI development, and operational scalingDemonstrated ability to manage complex, concurrent projects with competing prioritiesExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsHighly organized , proactive , and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, growth‑stage environmentPREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience working with GIS‑based systems, spatial data, or geospatial analytics platforms (e.g., Esri, ArcGIS, or similar)Familiarity with LiDAR, mobile mapping systems, 360° imagery, or sensor‑based data collection workflowsCivil Engineering background or road condition assessment experienceUnderstanding of data QA / QC processes related to geospatial, imagery, or AI training datasetsExperience supporting AI‑ or machine‑learning‑driven products, including data pipelines and model input requirementsExposure to infrastructure asset management, transportation, public works, or smart city initiativesExperience operating in a multi‑geography or globally distributed workforce environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
