Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our Metrology Team. In this role the successful candidate is responsible for the planning of materials, equipment, and production and for managing the day-to-day operations of the metrology sensor production line.

Responsibilities include :

  • Scheduling work orders for production builds, customer returns, engineering builds and experiments
  • Scheduling of deliveries to forecast and / or customer PO's
  • Purchasing of raw materials for production builds
  • Managing raw material and finished goods inventory
  • Purchasing and managing of indirect materials like consumables and cleanroom supplies
  • Managing equipment and capacity allocation for competing internal and external demand
  • Day to day management of operators, technicians, shifts; allocation of people and equipment to meet demand
  • Coordinate with engineering and finance on spend and product cost rollup

Qualifications :

  • BS degree or higher in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in sales, customer service, engineering, and supply chain
  • 5 years of production or operations experience in a manufacturing technology field
  • Knowledge of financial terms and concepts related to inventory and budgets
  • Hands on experience in maintaining budgets and driving schedules
  • Ability to anticipate and deal with issues that can impact production
  • Must be able to work on-site in our Ottawa location 4 days a week.
