About The Role

Based at our CNRL Horizon project site, reporting to Senior Regional HSE Manager, the HSE Professional is responsible for HSE on a project, and can support multiple projects as a floating role. The HSE Professional is also responsible for monthly / weekly reporting, supporting operations in the day-to-day functions of the HSE MS, and leading and lagging safety indicators to the RSM, Director, and Corporate.

This is a 7/7 fly in, fly out position

As an HSE Professional at Graham, you will:

• Take responsibility for own health, safety, and environmental protection, as well as that of direct reports, thegeneral public, and visitors to the site(s)
• Support Project Managers, Superintendents and HSE Regional Managers to ensure the elements of the HSEMS are communicated to Operational personnel and HSE Project Coordinators
• Ensure all project incidents are uploaded into Graham Incident Management software
• Support Project Managers and project teams in facilitating and completing GRAs
• Compile and summarize HSE statistical data, identify undesirable trends, and recommend corrective action
• Assess site-specific requirements and / or review of the PSSP
• Assist Project Supervision in the implementation and communication of the PSSP
• Assess local regulations, client requirements, emergency protocols, safe work plans and procedures, andcodes of practice for the PSSP
• Contribute expertise to investigations of all project incidents
• Report on the effectiveness of the HSE MS to Regional HSE Manager
• Hold direct reports accountable for HSE performance
• Accompany local government HSE inspectors and project Superintendent for inspections and ensurecorrections to compliance with legislation are taken
• Ensure ERP and other related emergency documents, bulletins, and notices are posted and communicated toworkers
• Ensure all required HSE reports and meeting minutes are filed, with copies sent to the appropriate personnelfor review and corrective action
• Assist project Supervisors and / or Foremen in conducting incident investigations, analysis, and completion ofincident reports and summaries
• Demonstrate HSE and Quality behaviours that reflect corporate expectations of Actively Caring and Road toZero

Qualifications/Experience:

• High school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school
• Certification in Health and Safety, or a safety designation is an asset
• Clear criminal background check and Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing is a requirement
• 3-5years of experience in safety or a related field
• Understanding of how HSE MS systems work
• Deep knowledge of WCB processes
• Strong grasp of safety terminology
• Understanding of general constructability
• Ability to communicate effectively to persons of varying rol
