Summary : The Sales Director will focus on driving growth and developing Big Box retail customers, with a primary emphasis on Home Depot Canada. This role requires an experienced professional who can build and manage strong relationships with Home Depot Merchants while identifying opportunities to grow market share.
Work hours : Monday to Friday from 08 : 00 AM to 05 : 00 PM, 2 Saturday a month from 09 : 00 AM to 12 : 00 PM.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Home Depot Canada Merchants and other Big Box retail partners.
- Strategically grow sales and margins within assigned retail channels.
- Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive data to drive product positioning and expansion.
- Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations for product launches, business reviews, and strategic proposals.
- Manage and track sales growth, including analyzing data using Excel for reporting and decision-making.
- Oversee samples, displays, and merchandising tools to ensure optimal placement and visibility.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, and operations, to ensure seamless execution.
- Participate in planning promotions, pricing, and inventory management strategies to maximize ROI.
- Regularly engage with key decision-makers to enhance relationships and explore business opportunities.
- Travel as needed for client meetings, events, and industry engagements.
Additionally, the candidate must meet the following Education and / or Experience requirements :
3+ years of experience working closely with Home Depot Canada Merchants.Proven track record of developing and growing Big Box retail customers.Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint (presentations) and Excel (data analysis).Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.Results-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or within a team environment.Strong analytical skills to understand and manage complex business dynamicsBilingual in Spanish a plus.This role has the following physical demands :
