Summary:
Canderel is seeking an experienced Lease Administrator to join our team. Canderel's core business is commercial property management. The Lease Administrator will be a highly detail orientated individual who desires an opportunity to be a part of a vibrant, fast paced, work environment with a high attention to detail. As a member of the Legal and Lease administration team, the Lease Administrator will be required to collaborate with a variety of departments in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Administrative:
- Maintain and upkeep lease, and property-related, documentation, in data base and tenant files
- Set up and maintain complete Tenant profiles in the accounting system
- Maintain tracking system of all lease documents being processed
Lease Documentation Review:
- Reviewing and summarizing commercial lease documentation including new leases, assignments, renewals, amendments, parking agreements, and storage agreements with superior attention to detail
- Request missing documents and back-up, as required
- Review commission agreements and approve commission invoices for lease transactions
- Monitor and follow up on upcoming lease expiries
Other Duties:
- Assist in due diligence procedures and review/upload information when onboarding new properties
- Ensure the accuracy of data while managing competing deadlines and following policies and procedures
- Undertake other duties and special departmental projects, as required
- Ability to remain solution-focused and maintain effective working relationships across departments
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial lease administration
- Proficiency with Yardi is essential
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with mandatory bilingual fluency in English and French
- A systematic approach to problem-solving
- Strong ability to critically review information
- Positive, ready-to-work attitude paired with ability to collaborate as a team player
- Self‑motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision
- Experience with Adobe, Microsoft Office, and DocuSign programs
