Job Summary
The Intern, Canadian Property Tax is responsible for updating property tax assessment and tax payment on Canadian real estate assets. The incumbent assists in tax authority relations, including tax payments and assessments.
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure all property tax invoices received are verified and processed for payment on time to avoid costly penalties
- Make sure property assessments are either recorded or consistent with Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) records
- Report on the processed tax invoices focusing on deadlines
- Scan and attach property tax-related documents in SAP
- Ensure asset inventory accuracy in SAP for Annual Statement reporting
- Liaise with Property Tax Manager and tax authorities
- Other administration tasks as required
