Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contract Manager to oversee contracts related to mechanical, electrical, and civil works within our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be capable of conducting on-site contractor audits, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, safety standards, and cost controls. This role is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and contractual integrity across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of contracts for equipment installation, facility upgrades, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Conduct on-site audits of contractors to verify compliance with:
- Contractual obligations
- Time sheets
- Cost tracking and invoicing
- Safety and environmental standards
- Prepare and present detailed audit reports with findings, risk assessments, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and procurement teams to ensure contract alignment with operational goals.
- Monitor contractor performance, project milestones, and budget adherence.
- Ensure all contracts comply with industry standards, local regulations, and internal policies.
- Support resolution of disputes, claims, and contract variations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of contract management experience in industrial, manufacturing, or recycling environments.
- Strong knowledge of equipment and infrastructure used in metal/non metal recycling operations
- Strong knowledge of metal recycling equipment, including but not limited to, shredders, shears, balers, eddy current separators, and conveyor systems.
- Proven experience in field auditing, including verification of time sheets and cost tracking.
- Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations relevant to industrial operations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in contract management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with scrap metal processing, or industrial recycling plants.
- Certification in contract management (e.g., CCMP, MRICS, PMP) is a plus.
- Bilingual (English and French)- French preferred.
- Willingness to travel to operational sites as needed.
