Michels Canada empowers your personal and professional growth, equipping you with the tools and support needed to create impactful solutions that shape a better future for others.  About us : Michels Canada is a nationally recognized general contractor in energy, infrastructure and power construction based in Nisku, Alberta, with offices in British Columbia and Ontario. We are part of the Michels Family of Companies.  The Michels Family of Companies is a privately owned global construction company with operations across North America, Australia, Singapore, and Germany. It is headquartered in Brownsville, Wisconsin, USA.  DESCRIPTION We are seeking a skilled and reliable CIPP Cutter Operator to join our team in performing trenchless sewer and storm line rehabilitation and repair.  The CIPP Cutter Operator is responsible for conducting CCTV inspections, assisting with CIPP lining installations, robotically reinstating sewer service laterals, and maintaining equipment for CIPP operations.

This role requires flexibility to travel to project sites, with per diem and accommodations provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Stop work in the area of an identified health or safety problem until resolved.

Perform routine CCTV / CIPP Lining operations on various types of pipes including sewer, waste water and storm lines.  Comply with Company Safety Policies / Procedures, equipment safety specifications and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Support line cleaning, CIPP liner installation, and the robotic reinstatement of sewer service laterals.

Assist crew with collective tasks; install site preparation, line installation, and cleanup of site as directed by Foreman.

Set up the CCTV / CIPP equipment and maintain it.  Work in outdoor field conditions in all ranges of weather and temperature.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS Proficient in driving the boiler truck / tractor-trailer.

Experience of at least one year with POSM, CUEs Kangaroo Cutters, Trytek Cutters, Schwalm Cutters Must be able to conduct physically strenuous work, work in confined spaces and all types of weather.

Be able to work independently, ability to handle problems and make sound decisions.

• Knowledge in confined space entry, CIPP Lining , and construction safety Ability to read and comprehend maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, safety rules.

Ability to comprehend instruction and perform tasks independent of direct supervision regarding; safety procedures, equipment use, maintenance, installation techniques and mobilization of crew to work site.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Flexibility within working hours and days.

Must be able to travel regularly .

DESIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS Confined Space WHMIS Fall Protection Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Additional training as required by the client or project LANGUAGES Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
