Position Overview

The Junior Field Quality Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that all steel erection activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes and standards (CSA S16, CSA W47 / W59), and company quality procedures. This position works closely with site supervisors, project managers, and ironworkers to verify quality, document findings, and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of structural steel components, bolted connections, welded assemblies, and installation practices.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality control procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and quality documentation, including daily reports, NCRs, and inspection checklists.
• Support site teams with interpretation of drawings, standards, and quality requirements.
• Identify non-conformances, issue reports, and assist in developing corrective actions.
• Participate in quality audits, testing, and inspections with general contractors, engineers and third-party agencies.
• Assist in tracking and closing out deficiencies.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism at all times.
