Director of Finance

Position: Director of Finance Location: Montreal East Are you looking for an opportunity to work directly with a company owners, and join them in their strategies, operations and growing business? If so, our current offer may be for you! Our private client specialized in the retail food industry is looking to hire a Director of Finance. In this role, you will be a proactive individual and the main support to the owners and the Accounting team. You will be responsible for the following: - Recommend and participate in the implementation of improvement measures, where necessary - Implement a new ERP system - Review the monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules for 5 entities - Supervise of 4 accountants (A/P, A/R, inventory) - Set up and review internal controls - Develop KPIs, budget, business modeling, forecast - Oversee the processes related to the divisional accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset management - Provide meaningful analysis of both direct and indirect operational costs to management - Provide a variety of ad hoc financial reports, as requested - Advise support staff on general accounting and financial reporting systems, policies, procedures and requirements - Supervise the preparation of government filings, as required - Supervise year-end audit - Deal with third parties, such as banks Qualifications: - Accounting designation (CPA) and at least 10 years of experience in a similar role - Attention to detail and strong ability to manage - Analytical mind, self-starter and ability to function with minimal supervision - Hands-on approach, autonomy, diplomacy, tenacity, rigour, and flexibility - Strong managerial skills regarding the support, training and motivation of support staff Please send your resume as a Word document to Milene Rizcalla at the following address: mrizcalla@quantum.ca.
