Our value public sector client is seeking to hire an Intermediate Network Architect to lead a review and implementation of Core Services (CS) within a mission critical network.
Background :
The organization is responsible for managing and implementing the CDMN framework, in parallel with the NATO-lead coalition implementation of the FMN framework, and the MPE framework.
They are responsible for defining the operational requirements and concept of operation for COMN, and to ensure the successful implementation of the requirements in support of mission operations.
The section must expand the existing system by establishing persistent points of presence that will advance, augment, and / or support deployed instances.
This will involve cloud computing technologies and complex concepts such as Data Centric Security, Zero Trust Architectures and Identity and Credential Management in a federated construct.
Tasks :
- Assist with the review of the existing Core Services (CS) in COMN and report on their compliance with relevant policies, directives, instructions, standards, and guidelines, specifically those relating to Federated Mission Networks (FMN).
- Assist in the analysis of the functional IERs, identifying those relevant to CS and document the Technical Interactions (TINs) for the IERs. Report on any gaps.
- Assist in the development of the SOR and set corresponding technical parameters for the requirements.
- Assist in the evaluation of the existing hardware and software for COMN relative to their ability to support the specified requirements, and make recommendations on how to improve system performance.
- Assist with developing and documenting the system architecture and system-of-systems strategy, including the implementation of cross domain and gateway solutions and data-centric security solutions necessary to meet the operational requirements for COMN.
- Assists with developing and documenting system interface and information exchange gateway (IEG) requirements.
- Work with international partners as necessary to support the development of interoperability assurance validation and verification test cases for FMN.
- Provide technology services subject matter expertise for, and assist with, the planning and implementation of system deployments and upgrades in support of operations.
This includes participation in Architecture Working Groups and assistance with the drafting of Joining, Management and Exiting instructions for specific Mission Networks.
