Position Overview

Under the direction of the SUPERVISOR, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the HOUSEKEEPING UNIT SUPPORT WORKER, is responsible for : performing various cleaning functions / services throughout the Hospital and annexes; understanding and following Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines; and performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, lift and reach continuously throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs / 11 kgs.
  • This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Effective April 1, 2024, Golden West Centennial Lodge will also be part of the WRHA legal entity.
