About the Opportunity
Our client is one of the leading employment and labour law firms in Ottawa. There is a current need for an associate with 3 or more years’ experience to join their team.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Represent employers in collective bargaining, mediations, arbitrations and civil litigation
- Advise clients directly on issues including employment standards, human rights, employment contracts, health and safety, workplace policies, HR strategies, education law and language rights
- Draft legal memoranda, opinions, briefs, pleadings and other legal documents
- Be actively involved in business development
About You
The successful candidate will have the following :
3 or more years’ experience in labour and employment lawThose experienced in relevant areas of civil litigation will be consideredBe an active member of the Law Society of OntarioBilingualism would be an asset as would being a member of the Quebec BarLROLEG
