Job description

General Manager - Sales - Western Canada

CSG Talent is partnering with one of the largest attachment equipment manufacturers. They are seeking a General Manager to take over this team of 6 sales professionals and leading them to new heights. The revenue expectation for this role is $8mil CAD in the first year and will focus on drill attachments - drillbit sales, geothermal drilling, DTH hammers - for open pit mines.

In short, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales operations and the sales team, while also actively contributing to revenue generation for the Western Canadian territory.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Leadership :

Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team.

  • Set and achieve ambitious sales targets and quotas.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching and support.
  • Sales Execution :
  • Actively participate in sales activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and customer relationship management.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Operational Management :
  • Oversee sales operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and CRM management.

  • Manage sales expenses and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement sales training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant sales policies and procedures.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of success in exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
