General Counsellor/Activity Instructors

GENERAL COUNSELLORS, ACTIVITY INSTRUCTORS

We have two great programs looking for Students and Professionals for great summer job positions! Camp Kodiak is a summer camp for children & teens. A majority of our campers come to us with learning disabilities, ADHD and Autism.

All of our staff have the opportunity to lead activities with the campers, provide them with social and emotional guidance, and work in either our academic program, or secondary options.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Live on-site and provide supervision and care for all campers in their cabin group
• Manage and monitor camper behaviors, provide social guidance, and assist in the development of their personal growth
• Lead, or assist in the leadership of activities throughout the daily program schedule
• Engage in a positive staff team work environment

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• At least 1 year of College or University Education, or equivalent experience
• Previous camp experience is an asset
• Previous work in childcare, education, or outdoor recreation fields is an asset
• Certifications in Lifeguarding Mandatory
• Pleasure Craft Operator’s License and Full Class Drivers License are an Asset

Salary: Base Salaries range between $2500 and $4700 with opportunities for bonuses.
