Job Description

Our federal government client is seeking a contractor to support its IM/IT development team in alignment with the Government of Canada’s Cloud Adoption Strategy. The work involves continuing efforts to modernize and ensure cloud compliance for custom applications, services, and databases. Additionally, the contractor will enhance previous modernization work by expanding a unified front-end design across internal applications using React

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be supporting a development team with the assessment, planning, and redesign of front-end architecture for internal applications. The role involves applying best practices in ReactJS and Fluent UI to modernize legacy interfaces, improve user experience, and ensure a consistent design across systems.

Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating existing front-end architecture
- Using a previously modernized application as a reference
- Creating a transition plan to ReactJS
- Implementing a unified design across all applications
- Leading the continuous development of a shareable, reusable library of in-house components in ReactJS, using the Fluent UI framework to ensure visual and functional

Qualifications and Skills

Advanced experience within application development using Microsoft Azure Cloud Service
Advanced experience within the past 2 years of application development using ReactJS
Experience with the following technology stack: Microsoft Azure SQL, .NET 5 and above, ReactJS using Fluent UI framework
