Mount Washington Alpine Resort is seeking a dynamic Partnerships & Events Supervisor to join our full-time, year-round team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, and organized professional with a passion for executing event experiences and building lasting community relationships .

We’re on the lookout for a vibrant and passionate Partnerships & Events Supervisor to join the Marketing & Events Team, to help bring the magic to life at Mount Washington! This is your chance to play a key role creating unforgettable experiences in Vancouver Island’s coastal playground.

In this dynamic position, you'll get to flex your creativity and leadership skills—building exciting brand partnerships, coordinating sponsorships, and dreaming up fresh event ideas that wow our guests. From concept to execution, you’ll apply your deep love of mountain sports to lead the organization’s year-round event calendar, working closely with external partners and teams across the resort, inspiring volunteers, and keeping everything moving with clear communication and an enthusiastic, solution-focused mindset. Role Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute the annual schedule of mountain events and brand activations across winter, summer, and shoulder seasons, in locations at Mount Washington or in connected communities.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, maintaining beloved traditions, and introducing fresh, engaging ideas that align with business goals; host event planning meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Plan and deliver interactive brand experiences that captivate guests, strengthen partnerships, and elevate the Mount Washington Alpine Resort experience.
  • Liaise with mountain sponsors and partners, both local and corporate, fostering productive relationships to leverage cooperative marketing and promotional efforts including new relationship development to offset event expenses; hold partners accountable to fulfill contracted deliverables.
  • Prepare Event Info Forms and effectively communicate planning materials such as site maps and schedules, provide an overview of department responsibilities and detailed task breakdowns.
  • Be onsite to lead the execution of events, coordinating all day-of logistics, managing supplies, and working closely with external partners to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
  • Lead internal resort teams to deliver event expectations, provide support as required, and hold peers accountable to their assigned duties to achieve ideal results collectively.
  • Supervise a crew of seasonal volunteers and occasional support staff, schedule and assign duties to ensure sufficient help is available for each event to deliver seamless guest experiences.
  • Identify opportunities and coordinate efforts to attend relevant industry trade shows, conferences, tourism meetings, local community events, parades, and other networking milestones that are aligned with the overall business goals and growth objectives.
  • Maintain the online calendar of events and local listings such as social media and community calendars, identify opportunities for more exposure to support successful event attendance.
  • Assist with event content production such as pitch documents and new concept branding, write engaging event descriptions, and coordinate promotional materials with the Marketing Team.
  • Analyze results to report on key takeaways from events and partnership activities, identify performance highs and lows to measure success and set goals for future development.
  • Other resort administrative duties and various projects, as assigned within the Marketing Team.

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must be available to work full-time, in person at Mount Washington. This is not a remote position and will require flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours based on operational needs and event schedules.
  • Prior experience and passion for running both family-oriented and 19+ events.
  • Proven record successfully maintaining B2B relationships or other partnerships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with an understanding of professional ethics and social practices required for networking with industry peers and local collaborators.
  • Understand the development and writing of contracts and legal stipulations of event management, maintaining special event waivers, licensees and special permits as required.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, performing well under pressure in time-sensitive situations.
  • Analytical, resourceful, and highly self-motivated, working well independently and within a team.
  • Experience with online project management tools and sales systems.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work outside for periods of time in variable weather conditions.
  • Due to limited public transportation options, candidates must have their own reliable means of transportation to and from Mount Washington.

    Working at a Winter Resort means no two days are the same—and that's part of the adventure! You’ll get to experience a variety of unique locations, from cozy lodges to scenic mountain-top venues only accessible by chairlift. Be prepared to embrace the elements; whether it's bluebird skies, fresh snowfall, or the infamous coastal rain. Expect to navigate multi-level lodges, steep stairways, and outdoor areas where the terrain can be sloped, snowy, or slippery, so good footwear is essential, indoors and out.   • Passion for outdoor sport; intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder and mountain biker.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends. The requirements for this position are 40 hours per week with a variable schedule seasonally based on event needs.
